The cookie lolly fun just jumped up another notch! What better way to say "Happy Birthday" or "Congratulations" to someone you care about than with a bouquet. Only our bouquets can be eaten too. Gives new meaning to the saying - You can have your 'cookie' and eat it too!

My sister sent me an invite to her darling daughter,  Atia's 1st birthday party. IN Singapore. Since Santa haven't send me Nour's & my return tix yet, we'll be there in another way instead. Thus commenced "The Purple Flower Party" project. Colors make me happy, as Barney would sing it. And indeed, we LOVE the color purple.

Here's a preview of what's done so far today*. The cookies will be shipped off to Singapore by tomorrow and I pray all 60pcs of them will reach there safe (and intact)... considering the tons of bubble wrap I just got at Ace, specially for this one very special event :) Mr. Postman, please be careful with my fragile care package, k!  Thank you :)

Finding Nemo

I had myself a challenge to meet last week. A request for fishes and nemo came up. Who am I to turn down a challenge?! The adrenalin pump was a welcome after the long summer break. I say challenge not for the artwork, but mainly for the speed that this special customer wanted her cookies done by. Each cookie was tied to a birthday party invite.. sort've as a preview of what the party theme was about! It was a mad rush for me, but I just want to give a shout out of thanks to my hubs for helping with a teething and cranky baby.  Time was moving so fast, I was amazed I got it done in time. I hope all her guests enjoy the cookies & themselves at the pool party this coming thursday *wink*

Children's Hope Foundation @ Le Meridien Village, Garhoud, Dubai

The Cookie Workshop continues its strive to do more charity work and had at blast at the recent Children's Hope Foundation Ladies Event on 28th April 2010 @ Meridien Village Hotel, Garhoud. The sparkles and colors were awesome!! and I'm talking about the ladies here. Though I did my best to make our cookies shine as well :)  We hope the ladies enjoyed the cookies as much as we did making them.

Baby Shower!!!!

Baby shower cookies are a real hoot to make. We had a last minute order for one very pregnant lady's (or was it for two?) shower and I was very happy to make them. I only wished I had such lovely girlfriends to  throw me a baby shower when I was having mine. So I went ALL OUT for this one. and boy did it make me smile making these adorable little munchies! There's the feedback from our wonderful customer as well at the bottom of this post.

TCW.ae'S SPECIAL FUNDRAISING PROJECT 1

HELLO APRIL! YAY to my birthday, Earth Day (same day btw) and lots more family birthdays. I love April. I really do. And in the spirit of celebrations and reflecting on life and doing good, I've decided its time to give back. Do some charity work. AND I need all your support to make this a successful project!

This charity bakesale will run from 10 April to 10th May 2010! We will have ONLY CUPPIES, sold by the dozen (that's 12-pieces of petite-sized edible heaven!!)  and packed in our wonderful clear gift box. 33% of all proceeds will go directly to a deserving charity, which will be named later on. All cuppies are to be picked up from an agreed location in Mall of Emirates. We need ALL your support to help spread the word to EVERYONE you know!!!

Celebration of the Birth of the Prophet

On the 12th day of Rabiul-awal, we celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. We were blessed to join the Singapore community at one of the events organised at Garhoud yesterday evening. We also wanted to share with our muslim brothers and sisters something sweet after the reading of the maulid. Everyone enjoyed the vanilla cuppies with luscious vanilla buttercream that we managed to whip up for the evening. Thank you very much for the host of the evening. :)
